Video: British Airways 747 Burns Rubber! (Slow Motion)

This video from youtuber delpillar is short but it's very cool. I find it fascinating to be able to see things like this British Airways 747 landing gear touching down in slow motion. In real-time, this stuff all happens so fast that you don't really get much feel for any of the details. When you see how much rubber is burned on a typical landing, it's hard to believe the tires could survive to do it again! I might be wrong, but I think they get 20 to 30 landings out of tires on a typical 747 these days, but if I remember right, when the 747 first went into service back in the early 70's, they would only get 7 to 10 landings out of the tires. That's really burning some rubber!
